About Cesar Cano
Cesar Cano loves food. He loves the act of making food and sharing it with others. His cooking style is an attempt to capture food memories from his Mexican upbringing. His dishes are also influenced and crafted by the endless flavors that Houston's diverse food scene has to offer. After high school, Cesar attended The Art Institute of Houston and graduated with a culinary degree in 2005. He spent the next decade working in a variety of restaurants in the Houston area. He was lucky to work for amazing chefs that helped him grow as a cook. After 10 years in the kitchen, Cesar traded in his knife and cutting board for a chalk and chalkboard. He is currently a 10th grade English teacher in Pasadena ISD. A recent stint on FOX's cooking show MasterChef has Cesar itching to get back into the kitchen in one way or another.
