So there's this thing called the Bottled in Bond Act that was put into place in 1897. Colonel E.H. Taylor was one of the pioneers that helped get the act passed. He fought for it at a time when people we're bottling all kinds of crazy shit and calling it bourbon. This act basically gives bourbon a stamp of authenticity. It says that a spirit has to be the product of one distillation season and one distiller at one distillery.
Fast forward to today, when we have national food & drink holidays. March 3 is Bottled in Bond Day, and to celebrate, we're featuring EH Taylor flights [Rye, Small Batch, Single Barrel] for $16.
From 2-4 pm, the Buffalo Trace crew will be out here during samples and giving away free things. We'll do a toast at 5:30 p.m. Come by.
