Gary Ly comes full circle with the Agricole Hospitality family by celebrating Lunar New Year as a guest chef with Eight Row Flint’s Outdoor Cooking Series. Gary was part of the opening crew of Revival Market in 2011, and he’ll cook his final dish in Houston at Eight Row Flint before moving to New York for his new job as the sous chef of Momofuku. At Eight Row, he’ll be cooking wonton noodle soup with smoked pork broth and charred Chinese broccoli, a popular Lunar New Year dish he enjoyed as a child. Noodles represent longevity, dumplings resemble gold pouches for wealth and the broccoli is for peace.
