By this point, we all know that Cinco de Mayo isn't actually Mexico's Independence Day. And we know it's not a big thing in Mexico. But you know what? That's not going to stop us from throwing a gigantic fiesta to celebrate some of the things we love the most from south of the border – namely margaritas.
We're bringing back the Big Ass Frozen Margarita, served in a 20-oz goblet ($14), along with a 12oz frozen or 10oz rocks for $7. We'll also have Modelo buckets for $15.
Plus, it doesn't happen every year that Derby Day falls on May 5. This year it does, and we see nothing wrong with imbibing with a margarita and a julep. Our Eight Row Flint Julep will still be on the menu (we're celebrating Mint Julep Month all month long), which is made with Makers Mark 90, sherry cordial and mint. So wear your hat (there will be a contest with prizes! at 7pm), and get ready for the festivities.
