Coltivare’s General Manager Leonora Varvoutis will join us at Revival Market room to share some classic wines for fall with us — fun Old World-style wines perfect for the upcoming holiday season! The tasting will include bubbles, whites, reds and a dessert wine or two, as well as charcuterie and cheese.
If you love one or two (or all!) of the wines, they’ll be available for retail purchase so you can take them home. Most of the wines aren’t widely available, so this is your chance to score some rare finds.
The lineup—and Leonora’s tasting notes:
Brut, balanced and delicious. You can never go wrong with bubbles! Green apple, some toasty notes, and slightly citrusy.
Colterenzio "Prail" Sauvignon Blanc
Structured, bright, mature. It's the Sauvignon Blanc you've never had before. It smells like a Coltivare Gin & Tonic, drinks like an old French lady - oily grapefruit and flowers.
Field Recordings Chenin Blanc
Round and full, but with racing acidity. Everyone should drink Chenin Blanc. It's chardonnay's hotter, younger sister. Apples, vanilla, seashells, and so much more.
Albert Bichot Pinot Noir
French Pinot Noir doesn't always have to cost an arm and a leg, and it definitely doesn't require an entire philosophic conversation. Some are just easy-drinking, table wines to go with anything you want to pair it with! Strawberries, cherry coca-cola, and just a hint of savory notes.
Due Santi Rosso (Cabernet/Merlot blend)
A big, yet balanced red. This is the wine where old-world meets new-world and has a little bit of something for everyone. Macerated red fruit, herbaceous, stream-lined.
$65 per person.
